Small Groups, Real Discipleship
Jesus Discipleship is New Song's discipleship community — small groups where we learn to follow Jesus in everyday life and help one another take the next step. It's a place to be known, to grow in God's Word, to pray together, and to walk with people who are pursuing Christ right alongside you.
Jesus didn't only preach to crowds — He discipled a few closely and then sent them out to disciple others (Matthew 28:19). That's still how growth happens best: together, not alone. Whatever season you're in, there's a group for you.

JD is the place where our four steps actually happen — the everyday rhythm of living out your faith with others.

In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commissioned His Church to make disciples of all nations. Yet in most nations today, population growth is outpacing discipleship — and many believers have never been trained to make disciples in their own nation, much less anywhere else.
One reason disciple-making has been minimized is the widespread adoption of the Church Growth Model. Though it has reached millions, it carries three significant, limiting characteristics:
Members are trained to tell people to come to a building rather than to go and make disciples — trading the "Great Commission" for "Great Church Attendance."
Growing the model means building, buying, leasing, and renovating buildings. The time and expense slows the spread of discipleship — and rising inflation slows it further.
Biblical discipleship can't happen in buildings alone. Like Jesus' twelve and the early church's homes, personal interaction in smaller groups is essential.

This is a major problem — and it's exactly why we make discipleship, not attendance, the goal.
Why the Urgency Is Real
The need isn't abstract. This is the world we've been sent into.

25% live in frontier groups — 1 or fewer Christians per 1,000 people.
The unreached deserve our urgent attention.

This is why everyday, relational, multiplying discipleship matters — it's the model Jesus gave us, and the way the harvest gets reached.
Faith grows in relationship. In a JD group you'll be seen, supported, and encouraged by people who genuinely care about your walk with Jesus.
Dig into Scripture, ask real questions, and apply what you're learning to everyday life — work, family, struggles, and joy.
As you grow, you'll be equipped to invite others — and eventually to help lead or even start a group of your own.

The Jesus Disciple App
The Jesus Disciple app is a free discipleship tool that guides you to come to Jesus, learn from Him, and help others do the same. Study life-changing truth from God's Word anywhere, anytime — completely free.
A tool for parents. Discipleship doesn't only happen at church — it happens around the kitchen table. The app gives moms and dads a simple, guided way to teach their kids to follow Jesus at home, one step at a time.
A track made just for kids. There's a dedicated kids' track designed to make discipleship age-appropriate and engaging, so your children can grow in their faith at their own level while you walk alongside them.
Water Baptism
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision. We follow Jesus' command in Matthew 28 to make disciples and baptize them. If you've given your life to Christ and are ready to go public with your faith, we'd love to celebrate with you.
Child Dedication
Child dedication is a ceremony where parents commit to raising their child in the ways of the Lord. We gather as a church family to pray over the child and stand with your family in this calling.
